Naast de opleidingen organiseert SAMEDA maandelijks nascholingen en symposia. Hier spreken gerenommeerde arts-acupuncturisten uit binnen- en buitenland. De nascholingen zijn WAVAN en NAAV- geaccrediteerd voor hun leden en soms ook GAIA (KNMG) geaccrediteerd.
Acupuncture in oncology: from evidence to guidelines
On Saturday, 28 March 2026, we will organize a valuable online continuing education course with the theme: ‘Acupuncture in oncology: from evidence to guidelines’.
Introduction:
The incidence of cancer continues to rise. Cancer is also the leading cause of death in the Netherlands and worldwide. Treatment options are constantly expanding, resulting in increased cancer survival. However, the side effects of chemotherapy can significantly impact the quality of life of those who survive. In recent years, increasing evidence has emerged that medical acupuncture can alleviate the serious side effects of chemotherapy and thus improve the quality of life of cancer patients. In this seminar, several experts will further explain the current state of evidence regarding the positive effects of medical acupuncture in cancer patients, which may lead to the development of guidelines for the application of medical acupuncture in oncology.

Speakers and moderators
Prof. dr. Emmanuelle Kempf, MD, PhD: Professor in medical oncologist working at the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris Teaching Hospital, France. She is also an acupuncture practitioner, as recognized by the French medical association. She is the coordinating investigator of the phase II randomized ACUPOX study assessing the clinical benefit of acupuncture in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
Dr. Elena Gyori: A hospital consultant in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, additional expertise in pain medicine, working in a multidisciplinary pain management center (CETD) and involved in supportive care for patients with cancer at the European Georges Pompidou Hospital in Paris, France.
Dr. Marit Mentink: Scientific researcher at the oncology center of Isala Hospital in Zwolle. She obtained her doctorate from Radboud University Medical Center and Nivel (Netherlands Institute for Health Research) for her dissertation “Communication about Complementary Medicine in Oncology.”
Dr. Djien Liem: Retired non-practising neonatologist, physician acupuncturist, senior lecturer of Sameda.

Annuleringsvoorwaarden:
- Bij annulering tot 14 dagen voor aanvang van de nascholing wordt 10% van de totale kosten als annuleringskosten in rekening gebracht.
- Bij annulering binnen 14 dagen voor aanvang van de nascholing is de deelnemer het volledige bedrag verschuldigd.
- Indien Stichting SAMEDA nascholing annuleert, bijvoorbeeld wegens een tekort aan aanmeldingen, ontvangt de deelnemer het reeds betaalde bedrag binnen 30 dagen terug.
